Travis finally agrees to work with Dexter in taking down Gellar; Lisa Marshall becomes the whore of Babylon and the atheist professor becomes a part of the Bowls of Wrath tableau; Deb visits therapy more frequently; Quinn continues in his downward spiral following his separation from Debra. Louis Greene, Masuka’s intern, and Jamie Batista get close; he is later apprehended as the man who brought the prosthetic arm from the Ice-Truck Killer. Finally, we discover that Professor Gellar is just as real to Travis as Harry is to Dexter: stone-cold dead.

“All is well in [Dexter’s] little corner of the world” at the opening of season six. Dexter finally is moving forward after Rita’s death and losing Lumen. It comes time for Dexter to choose a preschool for Harrison; however, this forces him to face his spirituality and the concept of religion head-on. LaGuerta is promoted to Captain, and Jamie Batista becomes Harrison’s new nanny. Meanwhile, Quinn is planning to propose to Debra when a shoot-out breaks out in the restaurant. The Dooms Day Killers create their first tableau. Religion and regeneration are discussed.

Did You Know? Dexter’s Apartment Is Real.

Dexter’s apartment location is an actual apartment building in Miami, Florida. The complex received so much traffic after the success of Dexter that the complex has put up code-entry gates and enacted a no-trespassing policy to prevent tourist traffic.

Did You Know?

Two main cast members of The L Word, Katherine Moennig and Erin Daniels, appear in Dexter. Erin Daniels appears in season one as Rita’s neighboor with the yapping dog, and Katherine Moennig is Michael Angelo, Vince Masuka’s tattoo artist in season five. Coincidentally (or not), Erin Daniel’s character is divorced and Katherine Moennig’s character is a lesbian.
